Disaster Assistance

The North Carolina Lions have established a partnership with the Division of Emergency Management to ensure that individuals and families have access to the full range of state and federal programs available in the aftermath of a disaster.

When Disasters Strikes, Lions Respond

Lions Clubs International brings help, hope and healing around the world to people affected by disasters. We provide money, supplies and volunteers for humanitarian projects that help people rebuild their lives during a time of crisis. Some emergencies affect a single family; others affect entire towns, cities, or countries. The severity of an emergency dictates the level of response.

Disaster Recovery Programs

While the Small Business Administration (SBA) is generally known for the financial support it provides to small businesses, the Agency also plays a critical role in assisting the victims of natural and other declared disasters. Specifically, SBA provides disaster assistance through its Disaster Loan Program to help homeowners, renters, and businesses of all sizes recover from disasters such as earthquakes, hurricanes, and terrorist attacks.

Homeland Security

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, along with its partner agencies, provides publications that can be used to prepare an individual, family or business in the event of an emergency or disaster. You can view and download these publications by clicking on the provided links.
